We are CPR/First Aid certified for cats & dogs, insured and bonded, and incorporated.
Maggie Pepitone
President & Founder
Hello! I’m Maggie Pepitone, I grew up with a house full of furry and feathered friends, which sparked my lifelong passion for animal care. With over 35 years of experience, I’ve dedicated my life to pet care and bettering our community for our next generation. As the proud President and Founder of Salty Dawgs Pet Care, Inc., I was honored to be recognized as a 40 Under 40 honoree by Long Island Business News. My entrepreneurial journey began in 2022, officially launching Salty Dawgs in early 2023, driven by my love for animal welfare and the challenges of life as a single mother to Thomas and Marceline.
At Salty Dawgs, we go beyond dog walking and pet sitting, offering support to pet parents, community cleanups, yappy hour events, and safe pet interaction classes for children. I’m committed to maintaining the highest standards, ensuring my team is triple certified and focused on safety and inclusivity. Currently, my animal family includes our cat Zelda. This being the first season of my life not having a dog within our home it is a pleasure to treat each of our client’s pups as if they were my own and pouring all that love and care into them.
I strive to instill empathy and kindness in our operations. Whether contributing to wildlife conservation or supporting homeless veterans and their pets, my commitment is to community well-being.
My favorite moments are the waves of peace clients express having safety and security in their dog walker/pet sitter. Allowing them to live their lives with out concern for their pets nor their homes. The serene beaches of South Shore Long Island provide me with inspiration and remind me of life’s continuous change, fueling my dedication to innovation and growth. Hi, I’m Jessica! While working from home during the day, I enjoy taking breaks from my laptop to be a pet sitter and dog walker. Growing up, I developed a passion for animals, and I’m thrilled to share that love through my work. When I’m not walking dogs or attending to pet care, I love spending time with friends, family, and my own dog named Ripley.
Working for Salty Dawgs is a joy for me. It allows me to get some fresh air and exercise with various wonderful pups, delighting in their cuddles and wet nose kisses. Hosting yappy hours and running community events adds to the excitement, and I take pride in bringing happiness to families by ensuring their pets are well cared for and loved while they’re away. Treating every dog like my own, I provide them with love, attention, and plenty of playtime. Let’s keep your furry friend wagging their tail and living their best life!

Hi there, I’m Andrew! I recently graduated from SUNY Cobleskill with bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and I’m thrilled to bring my passion for animals to Salty Dawgs. Growing up, animals have always been close to my heart, especially dogs, and I’m excited to foster that bond with every walk and wag. Since joining the team, I’ve embraced the opportunity to host yappy hours and engage with the community at local events.
At home, I enjoy the company of my beagle, Bella, and I’m also a Halloween enthusiast, adding a touch of festivity wherever I go. I’m eager to continue learning and growing with Salty Dawgs as I expand my skills and knowledge in the world of animal care!
