What is your cancellation policy?
We aim to operate as smoothly and fairly to all clients and pet caregivers with respect to everyone’s time.
Schedules are finalized by Sunday of the coming week by 5 pm.
Any cancellations submitted on Sunday before 5 pm will not have any penalty.
3 days before scheduled session = 50% due
After 5 pm the day before the scheduled session: = 100% due. (example: DOG WALK booked for 11 am Jan 15th. Cancellation sent at 6 pm on Jan. 14th (after schedule is locked for the week = full fee due.)
What if I need to book a session last minute?
If you are already an existing client where we have already done a full assessment on your pup and all “ in case of emergency,” paperwork is in place; we strive to accommodate the best we can! However, a small fee will be added to compensate for the time and work needed to redo the current schedule and route map to allot for enough time to make it to each pup. Our routes are mapped out with care and added time buffers for unplanned events like traffic or for when a playful pup doesn’t want to come back inside. We never want to rush a visit to hurry to the next!
If you are a new client, we require an assessment in your home with you present before any services can begin. We strive to meet your needs as quickly as possible and will come the same day if possible; however, please be mindful that most assessments are scheduled Friday-Sunday to allow ample time to learn about your and your pup’s needs.
How long is a meet and greet?
Plan on anywhere between 20-30 minutes. However, we do not not rush the process. If you are booking any Dog Walks now or in the future, please be prepared to come on a short demo where we can see how your pup handles being on a leash with you and then with us. It will help us witness any triggers in real time to help build the best/safest walk plan.
Will I have the same dog walker each time? You will have your main dog walker that will come to know you and your pet very well. All notes are kept up to date where a specifically selected back up dog walker can access in the case of a sick day OR some pet owners like an occasional change to keep their dog's socialized well.
How will you gain access to my home?
We require 2 sets of keys (and two fobs if Pet lives in apartment building)
One set will be on your Pet Care Specialist’s person. For the safety of you, your pet and your home, ONLY Pet’s first name will be on the key tag.
The second set (back up in case of dropped or snapped key) will be catalogued in a locked safe.
Please note: we will be moving to utilizing lock boxes in the near future for the ease and security of our growing staff.
Do you look after my home as well?
We make sure your house looks occupied while you are away by turning lights on and off, bringing in mail/ packages, opening and closing blinds, playing music/ turning on the tv. (If requested, we will park in the driveway.)
Will you clean up after my pet?
We will clean up any pet destruction that would be seen as a health hazard without constant supervision. Shredded toys, if the pet gets into the garbage, poop, pee or vomit in the house at no extra cost.
** Please note; we understand pets can get upset stomachs from time to time however, excessive messes that frequently extend visits well past the allotted time to clean up may be subject to an upcharge. This would be discussed on a case-by-case basis with the management and client. **
